Neurodivergence and Intersecting Identities
Understanding how neurodivergence intersects with other marginalised identities, and how to be an effective ally to the whole person. Popular with Employee Resource Groups.
Hi all -
I have created a flyer for my keynotes, ‘lunch and learns’ and workshops on my favourite and most popular topic, and I wanted you to see it first!
This about the people who don’t sit neatly inside one community.
The ones who are neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+
Neurodivergent and a person of colour.
Neurodivergent and carrying some other identity that is stigmatised or misunderstood.
I call the Neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ intersection ‘The Double Rainbow Connection’. These identities have a strong correlation, and shared history of being “othered”.
I shine a light on how the minority stress caused not by our identities, but how society responds to those identities, is compounded. And, what you can do to help.
And this is not only a niche talk for Neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ ERGs. The same pattern turns up wherever marginalised identities overlap — race and disability, faith and gender, neurotype and class — so every network has colleagues who’ll recognise themselves in it.
Practical notes:
This session can be a 20-30 minute keynote, a 45–60 minute ‘lunch and learn’, or a bespoke 2-hour workshop — in person or virtually.
I can deliver this solo, or alongside a co-presenter who brings a different lived experience lens, for example Azi Court (the AuDHD trans Gen Z lens) or Parul Singh (the neurodivergent Indian woman lens).
Everyone leaves with takeaways, including my 10 practical allyship tips and an anonymised write-up of what attendees share in the live Slido polls. Nobody understands your organisational context and needs better than your people!
One line from a recent host, Umida Dramchini at GlobalData: she said it made complex topics “accessible, relatable and meaningful for a diverse audience.”
See Uma’s testimonial and more, in my LinkedIn Recommendations section.

If this talk could be helpful to your workforce — for LGBT+ Pride Month, Disability Pride Month, ADHD Awareness Month, Autism Acceptance Month… or any other time you want to progress inclusion and belonging — then I’d love to talk.
The best way to reach me is Charlie@AusomeMinds.co.uk, and feel free to forward this email, or the flyer, to whoever books your speakers.
